Apollo Entice Mountain Bike Review

Is The Apollo Entice Womens Mountain Bike A More Diverse Option?

Apollo Entice Womens Mountain BikeThe Apollo Entice Womens Mountain Bike is an attractive bike that many young women would be drawn to over some of the more sporty, rugged mountain bikes on the market.

When you read the description and specification, that seems to be the aim. This isn’t your typical mountain bike, but is it still appealing to riders?

The Pros and Cons of this Apollo Entice Womens Mountain Bike.

Pros:

  •  The attractive shape and colour
  •  The detachable wheel for transportation
  •  The gears and brakes for off-road cycling

Cons:

  •  The limitations in the off-road performance
  •  Some upgrades needed on the seat and pedals

The Apollo Entice Womens Mountain Bike has an interesting design for use in different situations.

Perhaps the most appealing thing about this mtb isn’t the specification for the trails but rather the diversity of the bike for multiple users. The description talks about a bike that is as good for getting from A to B as it is on the trails at the weekend.

This time, the features really do reflect that. It doesn’t have the same look as a tough mountain bike and the light frame in that pretty colour is great for use around town.

It also helps that there is a quick-release front wheel, so you can make it more portable when travelling out of the city for an afternoon in the countryside.

One of the interesting things in the reviews for this mountain bicycle is the number of buyers that bought this for their pre-teen daughters. It is used more as a stepping stone into adult bikes or for basic use for students commuting to schools or uni.

This does mean that it isn’t going to have quite the same impact as a more high-end mountain bike. That doesn’t mean that mountain bike specification is weak in any way.

There are 21 gears on the Shimano system, plenty of suspension on the front fork, reliable mechanical disc brakes and Kendra K-922 tyres on the 27.5-inch wheels.

The Apollo Multi-Purpose Mountain Bike does have niche appeal with some limitations on its performance.

Aside from a few comments that this is a bit too basic for more experienced users, there aren’t that many complaints about the bike’s design or features.

There is a notable comment from one rider that found the pedals were too close to the back wheel for comfort. There are also some of the typical comments about the quality of the seat, with one saying that it is a little squeaky.

This is the sort of bike that you could upgrade with other components as needed, such as a new, seat, better pedals and tyres or other little extras.

Is this Apollo Entice Bike recommendable with these limitations in mind?

The appeal of this bike depends on its purpose and intended user. There are better reviews from younger, more casual riders than there are from the experience, older riders that need a reliable mountain bike.

This Apollo bike is still a great option for anyone that wants that diversity in their ride and an introduction to adult bikes.
