Apollo Interzone Junior Mountain Bike

Can A Apollo Interzone Junior Mountain Bike Introduce Kids With Ease?

Apollo Interzone Junior Mountain BikeIt is easy not to expect too much from a kid’s bike in terms of specification, but the name Apollo does allow for higher expectations of the Apollo Interzone Junior Mountain Bike.

Apollo bikes should be able to provide the right size and security for younger riders while also offering a decent specification.

So, is this a good choice for junior mountain bike enthusiasts?

The Pros and Cons of this Apollo Interzone Junior Bike.

Pros:

  •  More speeds that you might expect from a kid’s bike
  •  A good introductory specification for mountain biking
  •  Enough safety features to appease adults.

Cons:

  •  Regular maintenance on the chain and handlebars is possible
  •  The steel frame is strong but maybe heavier than hoped for

The Apollo Interzone Junior Mountain Bike has a reliable specification and performance that suits the target market.

Let’s start with the performance when kids are out in the countryside. Clearly, they want to be able to race around and keep up with their idols. That is why it is refreshing to see that there is an 18-speed gearing system to help with climbs and faster descents.

There are also decent MTB tyres that are just right for the terrain and plenty of Shimano components to give that greater sense of quality.

On top of that, parents can relax a little knowing that there are safety considerations on-board. This includes the strong front disc brake and rear V brake for a quick response and the front suspension system.

There is also the sense that this works well as a unisex bike, as young girls and boys are having a lot of fun riding this thing.

This Apollo Interzone Bike should bring plenty of joy as long as you are happy to tune it up now and then.

There aren’t many complaints about this Apollo mountain bike to be concerned by. The specification is reliable, the bike is pretty well made, and although there is a heavier steel frame, this gives the bike strength.

There are some cases where parents had to perform a little maintenance, such as when the handlebars got a little loose.

There is also a warning that the chain tends to slip off. This could be frustrating for kids mid-ride but isn’t difficult to fix. Finally, be aware that this bike is a little better with some added mudguards.

Does this lack of negative feedback mean that this Apollo Kids MTB is highly recommendable for this age group?

As there are so few issues here, and those minor issues are understandable at this price point, this is still a highly recommendable option for kids aged 9-12. Girls and boys can race around on this model with ease, pick up speed, and make the most of the specification.

As long as you are happy to put in some maintenance work here and there, there shouldn’t be much of a problem. Therefore, the Apollo bike is a great choice for kids looking to get their first taste of mountain bike riding.
