POWER RIDE Eagle Electric Mountain BikeThe POWER RIDE Eagle Electric Mountain Bike is out to impress with a great look and interesting specifications.

Electric bikes are more common than ever and sure to be a must-have for riders throughout this year. So, it makes sense for designers to push the limits with better tech and better components for the actual bike.

This model looks great, but what do riders have to say about it?

  •  The battery is reliable enough to handle long journeys

  •  It may not be ideal for those completely new to e-bikes

The POWER RIDE Eagle Electric Mountain Bike has some clever modes and electronic features on a well-designed manual bike.

This mountain bicycle seems to go further than others to provide the ideal ebike experience. The electronic features start with the 36V-10.4AH Samsung cell battery.

This rechargeable system is both lockable and removable for convenience and designed to power rides for a long time. There seem to be no issues charging it up and getting it to provide enough power for the accelerator and other features.

The projected range varies depending on how you use the bike. However, the company says to expect a 45KM range when using the battery all the time and then 65KM when used periodically.

There are three modes here – Pedal, pedal-assist, and throttle only – and you can switch between them with ease depending on the terrain, how tired you are, and the status of the battery.

Also, be aware that the battery is needed for a couple of bonus features, the horn and the LED headlamp. These are nice safety features not often found on these bikes.

As for the physical bike itself, some nice components make it more than capable without the pedal-assist mode. Another benefit is the lighter frame. The battery adds a little weight, but this is countered by the aluminium frame to keep it down at 17kg.

Overall, riders seem to be pretty happy with the way that this bike handles itself. They can head out across the countryside or on commutes with the back-up of that electronic assist.

The majority of users are happy with this POWER RIDE Eagle, but some do mention minor faults.

The first potential issue to be aware of here is that this bike is more complex than other electric bikes. There is a little more to learn with the onboard computer and the details in setting up the battery.

Few users have issues with these features once they get the hang of things. But, one does say that the manual with the bike could be a little more informative. There isn’t that much in the literature about operating the computer and gears, which led to a little guesswork.

Aside from that, the complaints focus more on little quality control issues. For example, there is one reviewer that mentioned the decals starting to peel away, which will eventually affect the look of the model.

This isn’t guaranteed to happen, but worth keeping in mind. It also raises questions over other potential faults that could arise with cheaper elements.

Is this POWER RIDE Eagle Mountain eBike still a recommendable option for those new to electric bikes?

The complexity and features of this bike make it a little more interesting and harder to learn than some other options.

Therefore, it could either prove to be the perfect upgrade for those that want to increase their range or a little too much for novices. Those with limited experience may be overwhelmed at first.

Keen riders, on the other hand, will appreciate the quality of the electronics, the range, and the general feel of the bike. The POWER RIDE mountain ebike could help you get more adventurous in the year ahead.
